SUMMARY: (March 27-April 6, 1992)
Harley and Mallet are in a hotel in Washington D.C. Mallet spots Jenna, the Jewel Thief, Bradshaw in the lobby. Harley and Mallet quickly realize that they’re secret romantic weekend has been ruined by the appearance of most of the residents of Springfield. Back in the hotel room Mallet tells Harley who she is. During the Media Awards, Jenna steals a brooch. The cops shut off the building when the brooch is discovered stolen. Jenna hides the brooch in Mallet’s suitcase. Jenna decides to go to Springfield after she spies Alexandra Spaulding. Jenna flies to Springfield and awaits Mallet’s arrival so she can retrieve the brooch. Jenna takes Mallet’s suitcase and gets the brooch but just as she walks away, Mallet sees her. He begins to flirt with her and finds out that she’s staying at the Regency. Mallet goes to Ross for permission to try to bring Jenna down. Harley goes to the diner. Jenna shows up and meets her fence, Grady. Harley finds out who Jenna is and spills coffee on her jacket and then offers to have it cleaned and returned to her. Mallet goes to see Ross when Harley shows up. They both want to investigate the case. They argue about it but they finally decide that they will both try for access into Jenna’s hotel room. Meanwhile, Jenna goes to the country club. She follows Eleni and steals her ruby ring. Jenna meets Fletcher and they spend some time talking to each other. Ross warns Harley and Mallet that they have to end their love affair.
