SUMMARY: (May 1-14, 1992)
Harley and Mallet meet in their secret motel room, they are about to make love when there is a knock on the door. It is Frank. Harley and Mallet tell him that not only are they a couple but Harley is now a cop. He promises to keep their secret and keep letting Jenna believe that he is Harley’s boyfriend. Alexandra discovers her earring is missing. Jenna and Grady meet to exchange money for the earring but are interrupted by Frank. They drop the envelope with the money and earring in it and Frank takes it. Harley and Mallet get a call that Alexandra’s earring was stolen by Jenna. Jenna and Grady search through garbage for the envelope. Harley and Mallet are almost taken off of the case. Mallet has to testify for Vanessa’s trial but has to keep his name out of the press because of the undercover case with Jenna. Jenna goes to Mindy’s house and steals her wedding guest list. Harley finds the earring in the cash register at the diner. She wears it in front of Jenna to gauge her reaction. Instead of fencing it, Jenna turns the earring into Ross. Jenna meets with Alexandra and rides with her to the courthouse where she almost catches Mallet after he testifies. Harley is able to distract her but she still sees Mallet. Dylan almost blows Harley and Mallet’s cover. In Jenna’s room, Jenna kisses Mallet right in front of Harley. She makes Harley put the “do not disturb” sign on the door and leave.
