SUMMARY: (May 14-29, 1992)
Jenna kisses Mallet, but he’s not into it. Mallet is able to put Jenna off again by talking about Francesca. Harley and Mallet meet again at their hotel room and make love. The next day, Jenna confides in Harley that she thinks that she is falling in love with Mallet. She gets Harley to agree to go with her on a date with Mallet. While at the country club, Jenna is able to slip away long enough to walk to the Spaulding Mansion to check on the security system. She is followed by Frank. Jenna runs into Frank after she changes back into her evening clothes and tells him to join them inside. The next day, Jenna meets with Eleni and other rich ladies to “talk about charities.” Jenna tells Harley that she plans to sleep with Mallet which will push all other women from his mind. Harley tries to talk her out of it. Jenna wants to bring Harley in as a partner in crime but wants to make sure she can trust her first. Jenna tells her that if she’s able to steal something from a jewelry store without getting caught then she will have her trust. Harley is able to call Mallet and give him a heads up. Mallet goes to see Ross to get Harley help. Harley goes to the jewelry store with Jenna close behind. Mallet is able to convince Ross to call the store and let the clerk know what is going on to help Harley steal a ring. Harley passes the ring off to Jenna. While Harley meets with Mallet to brag about what a good thief she is, only to find out that Ross helped her, Jenna breaks into Harley’s room at the boarding house and finds her police handbook. Harley comes back to find Jenna there. When confronted about the book, Harley says that she was in the academy but flunked out. Jenna wants to find someone to verify her story.
