SUMMARY: (March 1-10, 1993)
As Jenna is moving out of the Springfield Inn she runs into Buzz. She confides in him that she is nervous about her first day at Spaulding. She realizes that she doesn’t know his name and he tells her it is Rex Mancini. After Jenna is gone Buzz calls Nadine and tells her to come over. He bullies her into taking him to Lewis Oil. Jenna arrives at Spaulding to find Nick and Alan-Michael there. Harley finds out that a video tape could exist with Buzz on it at WSPR. Jenna confides in Roger that she doesn’t think she’ll be capable of running the company. Nadine and Buzz arrive at Lewis to find that Vanessa works there. Nadine tells Billy to fire Vanessa and hire Rex instead. Billy takes Nadine to lunch, leaving Buzz with Vanessa to fill out an application. Nadine tells Billy not to hire Buzz no matter what she says. However, Buzz is able to convince her in private that if he worked alongside Vanessa and Billy it would be to her advantage because then he could be her spy. Nadine then tells Billy to hire him. Billy agrees to talk it over with “Rex” over dinner. Frank and Harley are able to find the tape with Buzz on it but the sound goes out, they are able to see that he has a heart tattoo on his shoulder that says “Harley.” Vanessa stops by Spaulding to pick up a few of her things; she and Jenna argue. Billy and Buzz have dinner. Buzz dodges the reference check by telling Billy he’ll work for him for free for two weeks on a trial bases. Billy agrees but not before warning Buzz to quit flirting with Mindy. The next day, Roger gets Blake to meet him and Jenna for lunch and offers her a job, much to Jenna’s dismay. Blake laughs in his face. Harley runs into Nadine and Buzz at the Springfield Inn and ends up reading old letters from Buzz to “Rex.” Buzz smiles with nostalgia and tells her not to believe the things said about her father. She then confides in him that she’s been looking for her father and after much asking, Buzz agrees to help her find him. The next day at Lewis Oil, Buzz is able to snag a big client away from Spaulding which impresses Billy. Jenna and Henry have a heart to heart. Henry tells Jenna that he is confident that she can run Spaulding Enterprises.
